The 1983 America's Cup. The British challenge was run by the Victory Syndicate, overseen by Peter de Savary.
The pics are mostly taken either in Newport, Rhode Island, or Nassau, Bahamas. We spent the winter of 1982/83 in Nassau as it gets mighty cold in Newport in winter.
I have two galleries of photographs of this event; a 'sailing' one mostly of boats, and a 'social' one mostly of people.
